Behzod Abduraimov (“the most perfectly accomplished pianist of his generation,” The Independent) is soloist in Tchaikovsky’s mighty Piano Concerto No. 1, full of thunder and lyrical beauty. Gianandrea Noseda conducts Shostakovich’s bracing Fourth Symphony, whose overpowering orchestral forces convey human struggle on an epic scale.

Gianandrea Noseda (Conductor): Gianandrea Noseda is one of the world’s most sought-after conductors, equally recognized for his artistry in both the concert hall and opera house. The 2024–25 season marks his eighth as music director of the National Symphony Orchestra and fourth as general music director of the Zurich Opera House.
